MONARCHY AND SLAVERY
The Coronation celebrations were truly joyous throughout the UK with visitors from various countries visiting the UK. But the stark contrast of the majority of people celebrating being pink and beige and those we witness doing the base labour of cleaning the rubbish and urine filled dirt from dusk to down, on minimum wage, after the festivities were brown and black people exclusively. In the words of Princess Anne: Slavery is not over. The legacy of Slavery is still felt today and for generations to come. Thus, in the middle of joyous celebrations one cannot help but see this legacy of slavery still in motion in modern Britain. We look forward to consulting the royal archives on Slavery.
